PASSED LPN NCLEX :) w 85 !!!

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello ,

I have followed this website since 2007. I decided to post my story when passing the NCLEX. I love this website, it has given me the positive energy I needed since day 1.

I printed and carried in my purse the "pearson trick" because I knew in my heart I would need it one day to "check" if I passed. I always stayed positive and knew I would pass first time.

This is what I did to pass. I bought the review NCSBN learning extension. 3 weeks for 50$. I loved it. The modules are great and the questions are awesome, harder for me and made me think!!

I bought Exam Cram LPN the practice questions book. These questions also are good!

Did some chapters out of La Charity Prioritization Book. (not case studies)

I went to library and checked out every single source of LPN nclex study books I could find. Exam Cram, Saunders (green book) , Mosby's, Kaplan's strategies. They are free and any CD that came with I was able to download on my comp. for FREE questions ! (free is always good)

I scheduled my test date so I had a month to study. I had graduated the LPN class in early July and tested in mid Aug.

I created a schedule and STAYED with it daily. I spent at least 4 hours working on the NCSBN. They create a work plan for you. Use it. :) Do the pre and post tests. I failed all pretests so don't freak . Once it expired, (wasn't able to finish all modules, so I did the ones I knew I needed help with in the end.

I would do all the other CD questions in between. Switching them up. As long as I did 100-150 daily. Made at least 50 questions of those SATA. Read all the rationals , RIGHT AND WRONG. Look up what you don't understand.

Study lab values, know delegation, INFECTION CONTROL, side effects of meds in general.

I drove to the test site and knew where it was, before I tested. (room number and everything) Went inside and checked it out. Even spoke to the people that worked in there. Take a sweater! Leave cell phone IN YOUR CAR! They will be asking you about that so don't even play around, just leave it in your car. Don't risk your test over a stupid phone. Leave your watch in your car too. (yes, even that) There is a clock in the testing area. They provide earplugs. Take your time , its not a race! I read questions slowly and read it twice just because.

It took me 2 hours for 85 questions. I took my own break (raise your hand) at 50 questions. Then a break was offered at 65 questions. I just kept going. At 80. I prayed and kept going. Screen blue at 85. I felt good. I knew I was going to be okay.

Put in the daily work, and you will feel the same. :)

As long as you do the work daily, you will pass. Pray, have confidence in yourself. That is important! If I can do it YOU CAN DO IT!

I did PVT trick, it worked for me. I tested on Saturday Aug. 10. 8am.

The board posted my licence and passing results Tues . AM.

Good luck and God Bless.

Hi,

put "pearson vue trick" in search engine. Its a step by step on how to re-apply for a test at the pearson vue site. If it takes you to the cc page .. you fail? check out the forums on this here on all nurses. I tried it and It "worked" for me. I wasn't allowed to re-registar and didn't go to credit card (cc) page. Good luck :)

Congrats!! I used the Learning Ext too when I took the nclex-pn. That thing was ten times harder than the actual nclex lol!

It was!!! I bet we are thankful we invested in that one... :)
