go in there and relax. take your time and think thru your questions. cover them up and eliminate 1 by 1 if you have to. think positive and know that you will make it. i pray that god releases all the fear and anxiety when you walk thru those doors and im praying for a positive outcome. you are the conqueror and we know that you can make it happen. we are here rooting for you no matter what ! we are all family here. praying for a blessing...tflorn

I wish I checked back on this site more frequently. I blogged last month saying that i failed twice, and now my day has come. I take the test tomorrow for the third time. I've been praying every day. Reading this site, seeing how everyone is soo supportive brightened up my night. Thank you all and I wish everyone good luck, and I hope to post good news in a couple of days =)

Hey ya'll, I have been reading this discussion since before I took my NCLEX, and since (Mon 12th), and have been getting such encouragement and faith just reading you guys comments....Well, I had just finished reading tonight, and I've been feeling pretty bad about my test...and literally said to myself "I bombed it".....but decided to check my board of nursing just one more time before I went to bed...and low and behold!!!! I passed!!!!!!

I just wanted to let you all know how wonderful it has been to read such uplifting messages that everyone has posted...and although I just read and didn't post anything I would literally come here everyday right before I took my test and afterwards just to get the input and encouragement from others who were currently going through the same thing I was.....So I just want to say THANKYOU SO MUCH!!!!!!! Ya never know who is reading this, and I am just so grateful to read everyone's experience and encouragement....Big Hugs to each and everyone of you....and hang in there for everyone waiting.....:icon_hug: God Bless all of you.......A new RN!!!!!!!!!!!!!:smiley_aa

Hi Ergito

I have been reading this post regarding nov test takers for some time and I have a request for all you guys.. I will be taking my NCLEX definitely within the next 3-4 months and would greatly appreciate if you'll could give us future test takers tips for effective studying and if you could let us know which courses/books come closest to the NCLEX as far as similarity in the type of questions asked... !!

Thanks to all for a nice place to come for support! Good luck to Barbara and many others who are taking their tests today.

Igmirnor- I used NCLEX Review 3000: Study Software for NCLEX-RN by Springhouse. This software really prepared me for the Nclex. The questions included on the software were harder to me than the Nclex itself. With this software, I was able to focus on my weak spots and also hit on some areas that I haven't reviewed in awhile. I would complete mini tests each day and would range from 65%-95%. I had 75 questions on my Nclex and passed.

About a week prior to the test, I reviewed my lab values and basic meds. I also borrowed a book called Nclex made easy. It was pretty good, easier than Springhouse but good rationales.

hi november family,

i passed!!!!!!!!!!!

i just want to thank god almight for answering my prayers and giving me the wisdow and knowledge to pass the exam.

also, i would like to thank my nov. family for your prayer and support. i felt your prayers the whole entire time while i was taking the exam. i was not nervous at all. i went in there took the test and came out not feeling like i passed or failed---i just didn't have a feeling at all. but i looked at the nursing board today and my name was on there.

i want to thank suzanne for her support and help. i didn't use your entire plan, but i did use the first half and your method to use the saunder's book and cd only.

igmirnor - i only used the saunder book and cd. i just went at my own speed, which took me 6 month to complete.

love you all and i will continue to keep everyone in my prayers.

igmirnor: After Friday, my day, I want to start a blog just for nclex stuff. there are so many things to know outside of the content and nursing experience. As well, it helps to have a community of people who know what you're going through. One things's for sure - don't ever listen to stuff like, well, I only had a few meds, etc. etc. because you never know what your questions will be. I would like to know more about CAT testing process - for instance, if you bomb a question, do you then get a question on the same material, etc. etc. 'nuther thing worth mentioning - then I gotta study! is Mosby's "Prioritization, Delegation and Assignment" is worth going through since it seems to be a universal agreement that prioritization and delegation are very important. I'm so curious to see what it's going to be like!
