NCLEX this week!! Help!!

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello Everyone,

I am schedule to take the NCLEX this week. I must admit, I have been studying; however, does anyone have any last minute pointers? If so, please help me out.

Thanks in advance to the pointers!

Hey RN wannabe,

I am in the same boat (june 28th), I want to use my time wisely but it seems like a lot of people say that the stuff you are tested on was from left field! I am doing questions (Kaplan because I have heard they are the harder ones) and crossing my fingers for not having any select all that apply!

I am also focusing alot on Priority, Delegation and Infection control since they seem to be higher level...but hopefully I will make it to that point :lol2:

I test June 29th and I feel like I am soooo far behind. Why didn't I study harder the past two weeks???? I have done about 100-200 questions per day, but I feel like it's not enough!!!!! I don't have any advice from you, but I am right here with you!!!!!

I am also taking my NCLEX June 29th. My school had Hurst Review(I have a whole folder of their info too) come and I have been using Saunders Q&A I started studying on the First of June for about 5 hours a day for 4 days a week. This weekend I am studying though and as much as I can and monday and tuesday. I am still nervous.I'm waiting to take my practice tests I have until monday or tuesday. So hopefully we'll do good! I just don't know how to prepare myself for drugs there's soo many how are you gonna know what they give you? Anyway, Goodluck!!:)

remember this: abcsfp this means air, breath, circ, safe, fluid, pain in that order will help you choose the right ans.

Go in with confidence. We graduated nursing school, we have the knowledge to pass the boards. I truely believe that having the confidence helped me, along with the tons of questions I had done :lol2:

good luck

Thanks for the support Denise, I have already gone through all questions in Saunders Q&A and most of the CD. Reviewing my Hurst Review info like crazy and now trying to memorize the labs I don't have down. I'm not one of those people to get nervous until something actually happens and then it hits me. Developed test anxiety in Nursing school (yeah thanks nursing school!) But I pray and hope I pass on the first try I got a lot ridin' on it!! :uhoh21:

i buckled down answering practice questions on my last week before the test. it helped me plus reading the rationales after that. we can't master everything in a certain number of months or weeks what we have learned in our nursing schools for years. i think nclex doesn't require a higher knowledge but what is basic to be a safe and effective nurse, which is our entry level.

god bless
