Relax. You CAN over study.

If you are using a study program that offers you an assessment of your weak areas, review those areas for the next week then reassess. Study rationales so you understand WHY the answer is the best choice. You should have learned content in school. You then use that background to use the test taking strategies to find the best answers. Don't panic if you don't recognize a drug, diagnosis, or procedure...use context clues to determine the best answer. Generally what will kill them first is a good method (airway, breathing, circulation, deficit/pain...) to start. If the question is about DrugIneverHeardOfBefore given to a patient in a CCU, use the information that is given to deduce the answer (drug endings may clue you into whether the drug is a calcium channel blocker, ACE1, ACE2, beta blocker, etc. as well as information presented (VS, etc.)

Make sure to schedule some down time in the few days before the exam. Nothing you read then is going to stick. Get a mani/pedi. take a walk. go out to dinner. hang with your friends. dance. run. whatever it is that you like.

Goodluck!

We're on the same track buddy.I'm taking mine on the 10th of this month in Houston. How about you?

Right now,I'm reviewing my weakness areas which includes medications,Med-Surg,Nurse's study guide here(not endorsed by AN) and SATA. I think I practiced for more than 6,000 Q&A for 4 months,I want to give my best for this test,so at the end,no regrets.

Study smarter:)

Guys! Help!!! Any tips how to spen the last two weeks remaining?:(( i am so nervous and feeling lost. Mine is on Monday. My brains are tired now. I used Kaplan and I have done all their questions. At this time, try to calm yourself down & just review lab values & meds. Don't stress your self cos you know more than you think. Good luck.

same boat with ya going to take mine on the 1st week of december and i just started with my review last week :nailbiting:

if i was on my last two weeks I'd focus more on answering nclex style questions, master the test taking strategies but i'll avoid answering questions few days before the exam..the results from practice q&a might increase my anxiety. try to relax, think positively and take a deep breath :up: best of luck hoping for everyone's success in here

Depends, but you CAN use too many sources. Many do well with one or two. Very few do well with 5 or more study resources just too much information
