hI Epicain, 265 q? Wow I feel your pain! I felt exhausted after 50 ?, k only imagine how overwhelming that experience must have been.

nclex, as I mentioned in my post , is a nationwide exam. Every accredited nursing program prepares you, at best to recognize potential emerging basic clinical problems encountered by a NLN. Ypu should feel comfortable being able to plan safe care and then evaluate outcomes as either achieved ...(problem solved) or requiring further care.

In my expirience, Limpincott ask some of the most difficult questions. I found Kaplan q bank was more in line with the NCLEX. Did you receive your Pearson vue report? I wud have started there, and since you have a week left , I would take a cumulative exam asap and c wherE you are....

Hey maxRNbostonBSN,

I've been sticking to hurst review for now and seem to be doing well with that and doing some questions from Nclex 4000 here and there. I also use Lacharity (PDA) which I hear good things from most people. And for the rest of my week I'm going to finish up with the rest of my Hurst Q review questions I have 3 more left and do the last three Kaplan question trainers along with what I have left in the Lacharity book. I think my first time around was all my tension and just being so focused to pass the first time with 75 questions. I may have been lacking content. My Pearson review report was near passing for most except one that I was above passing standard, I can't remember exactly which. But even as I study and try to pin point my strengths and weaknesses it's hard to tell, for example physiological integrity or health promotion and maintenance I'll vary day to day. One day I'm doing better in one part and the next vice versa. I appreciate your concern and I feel more confident this time around but then at the same time I don't and I mean who doesn't feel confident going into that exam.

Hi Epicain17,

Sounds like you have this well under control. I took the NCLEX on the 22! I KNOW WHAT UR going through. Please take care of you! I love gummi worms, sour skittles so during the last week I allowed myself to munch on then ad lib. I had had them in years, since I renounced refined sugar. So go ahead and treat yourself, you are going to be just fine, you have a 89% chance of passing according to NCSBN...Imagine yourself, in a few weeks, looking up your name on BON, your are there, lic#, YOU GOT THIS! Sending lotsa positIve energy ur way ! M

Haha thank you! I think you're absolutely right. Especially when I took it the first time around I focused so much on studying and doing Kaplan questions everyday plus wrote down every rationale for the questions I got wrong. It was mentally and physically exhausting just being focused on one thing and not being able to enjoy myself or give myself free time before my Nclex. This time I had a different approach and I hope it works out well for me! I'll keep you postedí ½í¸‰

Hi MaxRNbostonBSN Thank you for sharing that information!!!

I did send you a PM but if you aren't allowed to read it I will post it here:

Did you study pharmacology using quizlet flashcards? If so can you post it please. Also, do you have anymore mnemonics to remember pharmacology? Last is you said not to focus so much on every side effect. can you please elaborate on that and do you mean to focus on life threatening side effects? thanks :) :)

Here are some drugs I have been focusing on :

Aspirin

Heparin

Warfarin

Enoxaparin

ATPase

Calcium channel blockers

angiotensin

beta blockers

ARB's

Epinephrine

Nitroprusside

etc

Yes I passed my nclex.

This post was super helpful. I graduated nursing school Dec. 11, 2015. Transcript just got released last week (long, drama-filled story). I am in full on prep mode while I wait for my ATT. I'm hoping to test in 3 weeks.

We used Kaplan throughout nirsing school and I've done all the qbanks, question trainers (except 7) and sample tests. I started Hurst two weeks ago, almost done with the workbook pages and have begun studying from them.

I am concerned about the pharm as that is my weak area. I know a lot of the major classes and what they do and general side effects, but I feel like I don't know enough.

I am not a nervous test taker and have scored within passing range, according to Kaplan, but I can't help but feel terrified to take this life-altering exam. I will get it together, but just wanted to let you know how much I appreciated your words of encouragement and the confidence it has given me.

Congrats on passing!!!

So took my Nclex around 11:30am in New York. Finished in about an hour and 45 minutes later with about 25 SATA questions, tons of priority questions and one exhibit question. Felt very confident this time around. I also the PVT and got the "good pop" everyone talks about. Ofcourse I'm going to still wait for my quick results in 48 hours but, atleast I can say this time around I think I passed!

Hello everyone !

I took the NCLEX twice and got all 265 questions. Both time I was near passing in all categories. I used Kaplan, Uworld, and Hurst. Any suggestions? Also, anyone has additional study guides that I can look over? I have the 35 page one already.

Thank you,

teresia

Thank you,

I used Saunders and u world did at least 75 questions a day with u world for the one week trial. Read and understood every rationale.Saunders i did all the questions online started with med surg, fundamentals, maternity, strategies on how to eliminate, the answers helped a lot. Then after that did the 35 page study guide which will make so much sense after all that content. Hope that helps a bit

How long did it take you to do the entire online questions? I figure I can do 235 a day; starting today.
