NCLEX in 3 weeks

Second everyone gets different you can have more sata and no meds... it just depends...

well, i am averaging 80% on all the tests and quizzes i do on my cd-rom. sata actually isn't giving me that much of a problem(knock on wood). i am just scared they will throw all these meds at me, because if that's the case i will surely fail.

you will never know what questions you will get on your nclex questions. that's good that you are comfortable with sata questions because those questions are worth more points (if you get them right) compare to simple questions like med calculations.

if you are worried about meds, why don't you read that section in your content review book and pay more attention to it by knowing the general classifications of the meds, med prefixes and suffixes, side effects, and nursing interventions. just feel comfortable with it and hope for the best because you cannot know all the meds! i had 8-9 med questions on my nclex-rn and i knew them all, thank god and also because of me working as an lpn and giving all those meds to my patients.

my weakness is ob and thank god i only got one ob question on my nclex-rn.

a lot of my fellow graduates haven't even opened their books yet. some taking their test in a week and a half and have barely cracked the review book open. so i ask myself, am i studying too hard? do they know something i don't? so many emotions!!

to be honest, i really only studied after i got my att which was last september 23 and i took my nclex on october 4th. before that, i was only reading here and there. i probably only did less than 1200 questions total. but i went to excelsior college lpn-rn program where all the nursing exams (total 7 exams) were all nclex style questions and i believe each exam consists of 130 questions. so my college prepared me well for the nclex.

like what my instructors said from my lpn program, the earlier you take your nclex, the better because the info is still fresh.

you don't want to over load your brain with too much information because no one can know everything. you have to find the balance where you feel comfortable and confident about the exam.

I recently passed the NCLEX-RN and used the Kaplan Q-bank and Q trainer which was indeed very helpful. I thought the Kaplan questions were similar with the NCLEX styles.
