Probably been asked to death but here goes. I am in my last semester and graduation is 3 months away. When i take my nclex i want to be able to work in TN, NC, GA, and FL. TN is my home state by the way. how do i find out whether or not i will be licensed in the other states, and how do i go about getting liscened in the states not covered by tn's nclex?

The best thing you can do is check with the TN state board of nursing. I'm a travel nurse from MO, and I'm now licensed in 3 other states, and working on more, all I do is check out the web site for each state, and down load the application for endorsement. Then, follow the directions. You have an advantage being from a state that is in the compact state. Hopefully Missouri will be there soon. Good luck, TN is my next assignment, I hope. :nurse:

how do i find that website and how do i know which states already in the compact

One web site is http://www.ncsbn.org/regulation/boardsofnursing_boards_of_nursing_board.asp

There are several sites though. Tennessee is a compact state, they can tell you what states are also compact. Sorry, I don't know them all, do know that N.C, and TX are a couple of the 16. And Missouri and several others are thinking about it. Good luck. :nurse:

Just have to get resprocity........ Basically, pay money, and get your license.......

does that mean i will have to take the nclex over for the other states?
