Medications On Nclex!!!

they normally give both generic and brand names....

In my experience,they give it by Generic names.

From what Ive read, both names are given on NCLEX...and remembering certain parts of the word such as -pril, -olol, -roxine, -pam and putting them into categories helps substantially, there is no way we can know every single medication, so this method works and look for those pocket drug books, they have all categories outlined, and the Pharm. made incredibly easy... good luck ...

You should check out the files that wizard100 and pagandeva2000 have posted. Awesome. I just gave my NCLEX on 18th and these two thread would have covered all the important ones.

Hey there everyone! I am new to this forum and would like information from anyone who has taken...or is preparing to take NCLEX anytime soon. I am currently enrolled in Kaplan and was just warned about the med questions.

Does anyone have any advice about how and what meds to study for? I will take my text in 3 weeks and am starting to panic!!!

I just took the exam this afternoon, and BOTH names are given.

in my experience generic and brand names where given.

I just took the board exam last week and I had a lot of meds. I suggest that you study the classifications instead of memorizing every drugs. Hope this helps. Goodluck to you!
