Just Took NCLEX Today...Help!!

Nursing Students NCLEX

:uhoh3: I took the NCLEX today. I was so hoping that it would cut off at 75 but it did not. The last time I looked at the computer, it was on question 116. I answered a few more questions and it cut off--so I figure I got around 120-125 questions. I had a lot of priority questions, delagation, 4 or 5 select all that apply, 1 med calculation, 1 pharm question(I know that I got right). Can anyone give any insight into this situation. I am going to go crazy before I can find out if I passed or not. I am almost positive I got the last question right. Any input would be greatly appreciated!!

why were you hoping that it shut off at 75 I really am not sure I understand that. I took my test yesterday and I am so afraid mine shut off at 75 and I really have no clue how i did this is horrible yikes

I guess I am too tied up with numbers. I know that if it stopped at 75 I either did really well or bombed it. I just don't hear of too many people that took a test that stopped at 75 failing. I know that it can happen but I really think that odds are in your favor if it cut off at 75. But I guess I would feel the same way as I do now if it had stopped at 75. I was really hoping that I would prove myself competent in 75 questions but I guess that I didn't. Are the prioritizing and check all that apply questions the harder level questions? I got ALOT of prioritizing questions. Maybe in the extra 50?? (not really sure how many) questions that I got I proved myself competent. The next couple of days are going to be so rough!! I cannot even remember but maybe 1 or 2 of the questions that I had. I remember the last one and looked it up when I got home and I got it correct. This is HORRIBLE!!!!!!! Good luck and I am praying that we both passed.

Hello, I took the NCLEX on Monday and mine shut off at 75 too Crazydebbie. I am a nervous reck. I just want to know if I passed so i can go on with my life. I am sure that you feel the same. I live in NC and I don't know when I will find out. Pearson said that I need to give it 4 weeks but I heard that I could find out sooner by verifing that my license has been issued in my state. I know that many states have that quick results telephone # but NC isn't a part of that. Do you know anything? I would really appreciate it.

HI guys.

I just went through what you guys are going through--the waiting game--extremely torturous!! I took the test this past Tuesday. It stopped at 75 questions, and I wasn't sure if I should be ecstatic or feel doomed. I did pass. In regards to the select all that apply and the calculation questions, I was told by my nursing instructors that since these are the new alternate format questions, that they are still in the testing phase, and will not become a part of the scoring until sometime this fall. Getting these questions is not a reflection of how well or poor you were doing. As hard as it is...keep positive thoughts...if you didn't know what you were doing, you wouldn't have graduated. You're smart, and I'm sure will be great nurses. I'll pray for you.

Good luck

How did you fnd out so fast?

How did you fnd out so fast?

Each state is different on how fast you can get your results. In Texas we can pay 7.95 on line, and 9.95 by phone, 48hrs after we take it. I know there's nothing I can say to help you with the stressing....God knows no one could help me. But hang in there...it'll be worth it when you see your license number!

:nurse:

Thaks for all the support. We were actually told by our nursing instructors that the choose all that apply questions did count in the NCLEX. Butterfly100, I hope that you are right and they do not count because they are a weak point for me. I am going to make myself sick before I find out my results. If I failed, I am really going to be sick.

Does anyone know if the people conducting the test at Pearson Vue actually know instantly whether we pass or not? I know that they can't tell us just wondering if they had that information available to them.

:p Hey Hon chin ups now...no pouting be positive....

I know you did great!!! :)

I'm sure you did well.............relax and now the wait begins which is a sucky part of it all.........be positive.....

at least its over....and remember some have went all the 265 and passed...so don't dwell on the number.....I"ll bet you passed....let us know...........later THRESSA
