July 2009 NCLEX Support Group - page 8

I didn't see a July 09 support group thread up, so I thought I'd get it started. I'm taking the NCLEX-RN July 3rd for the first (and hopefully only) time. I figured I'd get it done before the... Read More

Meriwhen, best wishes on the exam tomorrow!
Thank you! I'm leaving for it in a few minutes--there were traffic issues in the area yesterday that may not have been resolved, so I'm leaving an extra half-hour earlier than planned. Especially since those traffic issues made a classmate miss the test entirely--she's trying to fight it, but it's looking like she'll have to repay the $200 for a new test.

Good luck to anyone else going up today!

Finished a couple of hours ago: worst experience of my life, drugs I don't think anyone has ever heard of, felt like I knew nothing, stopped at 75. And we all know what that means...it could mean anything.

The center said they won't upload the results to the main office until Monday, so I doubt the "trick" would work in this case.

    Now I wait.

I've read/heard this is the typical feeling for the majority. I believe you did well. However, I understand you must be anxious to know your results. At the least, you are done with the exam. Hopefully, the Pearson trick will help with the anxiety. Best wishes with the results.

I just came from taking the Exam, the computer shut down at 75 questions. I am very worried, what is that supposed to mean?

Means nothing except you sat the exam and the computer has made a decision

Hang in there and good luck

    hello everyone,
I took my LPN Exam today and so far i have managed to start two fights with my spouse because the stress of not knowing if I passed is killing me. but it's a good thing he only said your right honey ,because he had to wait 3 months for his results when he took the CPA exam in 96. So I'm glad he understands however that doesn't make it any less stressful. I don't know if I should just start studying or not I don't feel like I passed :Crash:.I was a great student but some how on the test I kept reading over the same line. i totally draw a blank ,when I take a test i know if i did well or not. I don't think I did well. I need those results i'm never going to get any sleep like this.

Best Wishes to all who are getting ready to take boards.
I took mine for the first time 7/2/09. My husband drove me to Morgantown, WV to the Pearson center. We got there about an 1.5 hr early so I went in to make sure I was at the right place. The lady told me I could take my test early. So I did. After about question 58 my mind started to wonder so I decided to take a break. I came back and after each question I answered I looked at the number thinking to myself when is it going to end. I answered question 92 and my screen went blank. I wanted to keep going because I didn't feel I had done well. I immediatly became nauseated, my heart sunk. I knew I had blown it. I had to go to the BR. My stomach began to do flip flops and back flips. I had to vomit. After about 10 min in the BR, I came back and did the exit survey. The nice ladies walked me out and told me good luck. The ride home was horrible. We had to stop many time because I was so sick. I kept thinking, what was I going to tell my friends and work? My husband told me not to worry- its just a test- I can re-take it if I need to. Don't worry:angryfire..... 3.5 years of my life depended on this test.... I won't worry. When we got home I looked up some of the questions I wasn't sure about. Sure enough, I didn't answer them right. More reason to fail.
I looked on the SB site expecting to see a big FAIL beside my name. OMG!!!!!!!!!!! I have an active license. My status has been changed from temp to permanent. My heart began to do the jig. I wanted to scream but nothing came out. Of course my husband is at work and I can't tell him that I don't have to worry!!!

Wow, I passed. Seems like it is happening to someone else and I am watching it.

Think positive. Go into the BR before your test, look into the mirror and tell yourself "I am going to pass this test. I am!!! "

Good luck everyone, you will pass this test.
