Hello Old pal Born-In-The-USA, I just finished a review with Dr. Martin. I needed that. So I am hitting the books again to be well prepared.

I have not decided on the day, yet. I don't want to schedule a date and have to change it again. For my preparation: I am using Dr. Martins' notes, Judy Miller CDs, and Learningext.com. What about you? I am really scared, but I will continue to pray for everyone

Merry Xmas and Happy Holidays to all!!!:Ball::icon_cheesygrin:

Massou - How do you like learningext? I was thinking about getting the 3 wks package, but I might have waited to late since my test date is Jan. 3rd. Do you think it's worth it or is it similar to Saunders or Kaplan?

Sam7779 - Hang in there! I'm really inspired by you and how you've remained calm and positive. It gives me confidence to go in there and strive for the best, but if in the end I come up short there will always be another date for me to re-test. Good Luck and many blessings to you on your new upcoming date and that PASS in 08!!!

Well, my day is coming near and I'm actually not as nervous as I was before, which I am really happy about since I practically almost made myself sick the day I scheduled it. My classmate is taking her test on Monday and I'm really excited for her to sit and I told her that I know she'll do great, in fact; my whole class will do great and we will pass (hopefully our 1st time around). I have studied a little throughout the holidays and feel guilty when I'm not reading or doing some questions. I know I need a break and shouldn't wear myself out, but the guilt still lies there. Good Luck to all that is getting ready to test soon!!!! God is watching over us and he'll be right beside us each click of the way!

2007LPN2B,

Learningext. com is okay. I understand the questions there are modelled after the real test, so I like that

We can do this!!! Let's arm ourselves with knowledge and show this test who's boss!!! I am taking the NCLEX-RN in January.

I was starting to get anxious, but realized that will not help me. All I can do is study study study. I know my weak point is pharmacology, so I am busy making notes about each classification. I need to get my sleep, exercise, and eat well. I will look up things I don't understand, and learn it.

I plan on evaluating my knowledge a few days before the exam, if I feel like I am not ready, I will reschedule my test right away.

Good luck to all of us taking the NCLEX. We can do this!!!

Almighty God, Please shine your light on January test takers. Please help each and every one of us pass the test. Amen!

Massou, I did the 5wks learningtext course and I really liked it. I have not scheduled my test either. I thought I was going to be able to take it in December but I was unable to get a date. I am out of state visiting family and will be here until the beginning of the year. I am trying to schedule to take it here because I feel I am ready and want to get it over. I am doing the question trainers from Kaplan and some questions from Saunders while I wait on a date. So as it seems I will be a January test taker.

Cash, you are welcome to the January family. We will beat this exam. We will claim VICTORY. Let us continue to study and pray, pray, pray.

ok it is official I will test in January. Lord I know that you said that 8 is the # of new beginnings and I am asking that you look over all of us who will be going into the new year with NCLEX on our hearts and minds. I ask that you be with us as we study and give us the understanding that we need to take the test. I ask that when we walk into that room that you give us a spirit of peace and understanding. Lord you know all our desires and I ask that you be with us as we choose the correct answers during the NCLEX. I will be praying for all Jan. test takers and the Dec. family that is waiting on their results.

Cash - AMEN!! AMEN!!! AMEN!!! It feels so good to have a place to come and be able to vent if we need to, pray, or ask for advice or even to verify a procedure, med, etc.

My time is getting sooo close and I haven't been feeling anxious as of yet. I have been dreaming about all types of things pertaining to nursing. When I wake up I start laughing to myself and realize how powerful this NCLEX has a hold on so many of our lives. Sometimes I can't go to sleep if I'm trying to recall something and can't think of it, so I get up and get my review book to confirm it. I've been doing pretty much just the Saunders Review book 3rd edition and the CD. I made a study plan to go through as many content areas as I can on the CD and count how many I actually get wrong to see what my score would be in the study section instead of taking the Exam. I've been doing pretty well, which makes me feel even more ready to knock this NCLEX out the box.

Good Luck and many blessings to those preparing to test soon!!
