Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

hey guys. so, i lurked a lot on this sight, especially the last few months. i was soooooooooooo scared to take the nclex-rn because i honestly didn't think i would pass. i was a c-b average student, sometimes i got a's.

i passed the nclex on the first try (yesterday)- with 140ish questions.... tons of meds that i didn't know, otherwise, it was all over the board... wide variety of topics, some of the stuff was way out of left field!! i didn't get as many priority questions as i thought, and probably got about 10 sata.

the study material i used was saunders 4th ed., la charity book, and kaplan 2010-2011 book, and the hurst review book... all must haves!!!!

last week was the worst for me, that is when i had the most anxiety. i would say by monday of this week, i started to feel pretty calm.. which i think helped a lot! i started having a positive attitude, telling myself that i will pass the nclex! i took a bubble bath the night before and just relaxed, cleared my head, and kept telling myself i will pass! i prayed a lot, and handed it over to god when i got to the testing center. i couldn't have done it without him!!

i started the test at 1:00 and finished about 4:20... i went very slow the first 75 questions, then i really picked up the pace after that. i walked out truly feeling like i bombed that test!!! i got home and tried the pvt and got the good pop up. which really helped me clam my nerves, but obviously didn't take that as the final word. this morning, i checked at 6:30 on the bon website, and it was already up!!!!! it said i passed!!!!!!!!!!!!!! such a relief! i believe in the pvt!!!

i just want to let you all know that you will succeed!!!!!! if you believe it, you can do it!!!!!! i know you can!!! if i can do it, you can toooooo!!!!!

best of luck to those have to take it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! have a positive attitude!!!

:ancong!:

Congratulations!! Now go celebrate!

Thank you!!!! It is such a great feeling! I feel FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! haha

Congrats! I have 14 hours left to wait for my results, the PVT is the ONLY thing that has calmed me down as I got the good pop up:) Its reassuring to hear that it has been sucessful for so many nurses:)
