Nursing Students NCLEX

Hello everyone. U all have being very supportive throughout my prep for Nclex. Now I have couple of days to go, and my anxiety level is way up. I still have trainer 7 and 12% or qbank left to do but I cannot do them right now because, I cannot focus, I cannot think. I am trying to be positive about the exam, but I am truely freaking out and I need help. If I can just calm down a little bit, I will be fine. I don't know what to do to calm down. I have being like this since thursday and I am not getting better. Please help me because I need to calm down b4 the day. Helppppp!!!!:crying2:

Emmsha, I feel your pain!! I am scheduled to take the NCLEX on Wednesday. One thing that has helped me in my moments of panic is to imagine myself succeeding, sitting down at the exam feeling calm and clear headed, feeling confident in my ability to answer the questions correctly. After all, we did make it through nursing school so we have the knowledge. And you have been doing the Kaplan questions which from everything I have heard are high level and similar to NCLEX. Take some deep breaths, think positive (even though I know it can be hard), get enough sleep, and don't over do it on the caffiene! You will do great and you will be a great nurse!!

You will make it! It sounds like you have been studying pretty hard...maybe you need to step away from it, take a break, try to have some fun...maybe hang out with some friends or get some exercise?

I tried to limit my studying to 4-5 hours a day max...taking multiple breaks in between.

Once you've done that...do q trainer #7...do it in chunks- it took me 3-4 hours to do it.

If you get questions wrong- who cares? Once you read the rationale and strategy then you'll understand why you got it wrong!

I just found out I passed today- if I can do it YOU can do it! Take a deep breath and relax!

Good luck!

I am taking my exam in Boston, MA. I am a little bit calm today, after I went to church. I have studied very hard, I know I can't remember everything on that day, so from now on, i will continue to study and then leave everything to God. There is nothing too big for God that he cannot do. I claim my success from today. I am going to face the exam with a positive attidude, from now on.
