Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello,

I knew today that I failed NCLEX-RN.I am international student and I did Saunder's book and Kaplan online ( $418).

I spent more than 4 months doing these courses.I am totaly upset and I dont know what to do to get through it.I dont have any energy to restart.I am going through the worst day of my life. I have no clue what book do I start.I went over question trainer 5,6,7 and all question bank.It seems saunder and kaplan did not help me. I was asked lots of drug questions which I was not good at.I see Suzane plan in some posts. Can any one suggest me what may be to get out of this situation and be RN.

Sorry to hear you have failed. Take a deep breath and a week off from studying. I would consider her plan and it was initially devised for International nurses. For her plan all you need is the latest edition of Saunders. Check out the following threads

Sorry to hear that you failed. I know how you're feeling. I recently failed my boards.

If you search on this forum there are SO many suggestions, SO many words of wisdom and encouragement. Remember though, the first step starts with you . Take your time and read through them. I plan on using Suzanne's Plan. This is a very supportive and understanding forum. Be patient and be well.

Below sites Ive used!! Hang in there.

Sorry to hear that you did not pass the exam. It is much harder for those that trained out of the US, only about 44% pass the first time. Language plays a part of it as well as medications, lab results and then just understanding how we do things in the US.

You can get thru this exam, but it is going to take extra work. Please take at least a week for yourself before you begin to prepare again.

hi, I am an international student too. I passed it the first time. If you want to talk to me , just send me e-mail or pm by clicking on my name...

Sorry to hear you did not pass this time. You are not alone though, alot of nurses have failed boards once and some even more. You can do this just take some time off and then come back to studying. Do look into Suzanne's Plan and check out the links Silverdragon posted. Best wishes and hang in there. :icon_hug:

im on the same boat like you guys.. i am hoping to pass it to! i am looking forward to doing suzanne's plan.. ive done the first step with the saunders book.. and i do need help on the second step.. any one out there please help me.. i am confused on how to pm her for the second step.. anyone that could give me the details on how i could pm her regarding the second step? i need the righr format to pm her. HELP!

Please go back and reread the first tip thread, what you need to send to me is actually written there in bold color, it needs to be followed exactly.

This is the same thing that I told you to do in a pm, you already know how to contact me.

Without the proper information sent to me in the format that is requested on that thread, one is never added to my list and it is quite easy to follow if you have actually read that thread.

really sorry to hear this, this must be a very sad time or you. Take some time to recuperate then start studying again. I know someone has probable told you this but try Suzanne's plan. Best of luck

thanx!! ill look up to that again.

 oh????? that was so surprising.......i have seen some post here that says that they passed by combining the kaplan and saunders. then you should ask yourself how did you study?

as for me, i also did not pass my 1st attempt. i studied for 7mos. but i think i did not do a good strategy in studying that is why i failed.i depended so much on saunders but i think what made me fail is that i did not use the book effectively. let us try suzanne's plan. i feel your pain. we r on the same boat......:typing hugs
