did ERI Total testing/or other help with NCLEX

Nursing Students NCLEX

My school requires us to take ERI Total Testing and pass with 5 over national average to graduate. Has anyone taken this type of testing and did it help on the NCLEX? We have been told that if we pass ERI with 5 over NA, we have a 95% chance of passing NCLEX first try. Any comments, good or bad are welcomed.

I have mixed feelings about ERI.

Did it help me with taking an "NCLEX like" test on the computer? Yes.

Did it help me prepare for the NCLEX? No.

Was it a waste of my time? Somedays.

Did I use ERI to study for NCLEX? Yes and No. I did a few tests (we had access to the entire website) for subjects I was weaker on, such as pharm, med surg, etc.

Now unless they fixed the ERI from last year (when i took it), I occasionally wanted to hurt the ERI people very badly..hehe.. No Honestly, there were some questions that said "using this chart", and there was no chart! And there were other questions that you didnt know what they said because the type went right off the side of your screen and to who knows where! So, there were missed words in the questions that could be pertinent to the answer.

Just my 2 cents, as asked for!
