Is this crazy or what??? Is Kaplan helping or hurting?? Guess its back to the drawing board......:bowingpur Has anyone heard of this happening before?

I fell soooooooo stupid.... :(

ah dont worry When I did it I only gained by 1% (68-69%) Kaplan does help; once you sit down and study at your own pace using what you learned in Kaplan ull be ok.

I think the reasoning behind it is after a 4 day course and then taking a readiness test=drained. that was my personal expierence, but kaplan is sure helping me. I took it at the end of may and test July 8th

Your next date is the 8th?

July 8th is when im testing for the nclex for the first time

Wow me tooo

lol well hopefully we both become very happy people by July 9th, Just think no more tests EVERRRR

I totally think it is good luck!!!!!!!!!!:nurse:

what state u testing in?

I was like that too. 68 on diagnostic and 61 on readiness. I learned from my mistakes though and have incorporated that into my studying. It has helped. Someone posted on here that if you get over a 60 percent you are ready. Kaplan wants 65, but I have heard 60 is still good. I got a 62 on Trainer 6. I have yet to take Trainer 7. You'll be Ok. Good luck!

Thanks I went from a 68 to a 60..... So frustrating!

Kaplan states " don't test unless you are getting 65% on the Qbanks". Well..............thats a bowl of doo-doo!

They told us on our last day that the 65% was only a "cushion" and if you have been consistantly getting 55% on the tests and Qbanks, you will pass. The 65% was a perfect A and a 55% was a mid B. I ranged from 57-75 on my Qbanks, diagnostic was 65% and readiness was 70%. Passed no problem.

You will do fine. Just stay focused and have a mind set to do ALL 265 questions upon sitting down.

Wait wait wait. I went from a 70 to a 70 and was not happy. They told us, the readiness test at the end of the session is harder than the diagnostic test, so don't beat yourself up, as it was more difficult. I thought that was an odd way to see what we learned, changing the difficulty of the test, but she rattled off a reason for it that I did not understand. I am not sure if she was just trying to make me feel better about spending almost 500 bucks to not have gained a point or what, but that is what their staff told me.

I do think the class was helpful, and even if the strategies only help me on a handful of questions, it still will be happy.
