ATI exit exam

So I have to take the ATI exit exam in a couple of weeks, and I am extremely overwhelmed and nervous. I have not idea what to do. I have going over NCLEX questions and I have used some of their practice tests, but I find them to be ridiculous! I feel like no matter how much I study, I am screwed.

Ugh...anyone ever taken it? Was it really that bad?

In my opinion, ridiculous is the perfect word for ATI! I had to do the ATI exit test.

Best advice is to first find out your school's retake policy on the exit test. My school allowed unlimited retakes until you passed. As a result none of my class took the practice test, all of us failed the exit test and all of us passed it on second or third try (I passed second try). Our school used ATI all the way through school until last year. They realized that ATI is not helpful in passing NCLEX and they abandoned ATI in lieu of Kaplan beginning this school year.

To respond, yes it is bad, but if your school allows retakes don't sweat it too much. Once you read the rationales for the answers, the second time is very easy. I passed in under an hour the second time I took it! Also, if it comes back with a ludicrous "you only have a 4% chance of passing NCLEX" ignore that! It actually gave me a 7% chance the first time I took it and I passed NCLEX first try.

Hope that helps.

7%? What? My school used to do kaplan but then switched ati. I have no idea why as I don't think ati is as close to the nclex style of questions as Kaplan.

My school allows retake. How many, I am not sure. I'm so glad to know that I am not the only one who feel this way.
