the instructor said to aim at 65% but she also said 60% is good with kaplan but i spend so much time on doing the qbanks i used up on the question on qbank still cannot get more than 67% on q trainer. this is crazy because i test in 2 days

i was on the same boat! I took my my qtrainer 7 a week before the exam and i got 66%. By that time i had already maxed out my qbank. The day before the test i just kept taking mini qbank 10pt quizes to build up my self esteem hehe long story short i learned i passed today w/ 75 questions in woohooo good luck to you!

That's great Nalwor, took the first Qtrainer and got 99%, I did not do any other Kaplan trainers after that. I am focusing on the Qbanks and reviewing the rationales. I just follow the decision tree and read carefully what the questions are asking. I plan to take the Nclex in late June to Early July.

Congratulations to you ... I just graduated on Saturday. Will start the Kaplan program Monday. I have heard a lot of great things about their program, and am ready to begin. I hope to sit for the exam next month. I will post my Kaplan scores as I go through them and will let everyone know how I do on the NCLEX. I'm hoping to get good feedback from everyone about my scores so I'll know if I'm ready or not.

To everyone getting ready to sit for the NCLEX I wish them good luck.

i did the kaplan question trainers about 4 - 6 weeks ago...first i did the QT 1, 2, 3, 4. my scores were 66%,60%,57%,63%...now i am redoing them and i totally forgot the questions and my scores are 60% (this one got me worried because it got lower), 70%, 72% and will re do my QT 4 again in a couple of days. i have set my date to mid june, i hope i am on the right track my kaplan q bank score is 62% and i have done about 50% of the questions!

I did about 900 questions off of the qbank. My average was in the low 60's. On the practice tests my scores ranged from 49-67 (Something like that anyways). My scores were not awesome. I took the Kaplan exit exam and scored a 71%.
I passed the NCLEX with 75 questions.

My study plan was short. I graduated April 3 and took the exam April 29. I did not have time before I graduated to study due to my 36-48 hours of clinicals I was doing every week on top of school.
    What I did:
I got ready in the morning like I was going to go somewhere. I put snacks, water and tea/coffee next to the computer. I would not move unless I had to use the bathroom or get up for lunch.
I went through as many as 500 questions/day. I would read through the rationals of the questions I missed and take notes if I missed them due to content.
When I needed a break from looking at questions. I would break out my text books and look up the topics I missed. If there was a question on lupus that I did not know, I would take notes on lupus as a topic because I did not think the questions would be the same as on the NCLEX.
Two days before the test, all of my test scores started dropping by 10-15%. I just stopped taking the test. I felt that being frustrated would hinder me more than one day of questions would help me.
The last day and a half I pulled out 30 pages of notes I had been taking over the last few weeks. I read them twice. I was so tired of studying, I just relaxed for the rest of the day.
My test was at 8 am. I had $10 for parking. I had another $10 just incase the machine would not take the the other bills. I brought food and water in my purse just in case I was hungry. I showed up at the testing center at 7:15 and started the test about 7:30.
I was not nervous when I started the test. I started to get tired at about 35 questions so I took a break and walked around (when I am tired I just start clicking stuff; bad idea). I thought my questions were easier at the end of the test because they seemed like information questions that I just did not know but I narrowed it down and gave my best 50/50. It asks if you want a break at 74 questions. I opted not to. I was wishing it would shut off at 75 and I just COULDNT go to break knowing I had one question. When the screen went grey my palms started sweating. Less than 2 hours and out. I knew I passed when I walked out.
