2 years out of Nursing School. Failed 3 times Help!

Nursing Students NCLEX

I've been out of school for 2 years and failed Nclex 3 times. 1st time I was pregnant with my 1st child (7 month pregnant at the time), 2nd time baby was 5 month old and kept me up all night. 3rd time was 3 months ago and I think I was just too rusty and scared. The hard part for me is only person that knows is my husband. So it's my hidden secret from family and friends. Since I am currently a stay at home mom. No one really ask me about it they just figure I am a RN. So... I have been avoiding the nclex like its the plague but, now I've decided it's time to close this chapter and start a new as a RN and NEED to Pass this time. I need to start from scratch on study.I'm looking for recommendation on good study resources for core content and over all testing strategies. The time frame I'll be able to spend studying is 2 hours a day, 5 days a week. Any suggestion, motivation or personal story would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks so much that's very encouraging and Congrats to you!!! I am deciding between Hurst and Kaplan right now. Any reason why you choose Hurst over all the rest?

Of course I don't mind. We all need to stick together at times like this. Sorry to hear about your struggles as well. I am starting to think that we are our worst enemy with lack of confidence and being to hard on ourselves.

We Just need to realize the past is in the past and want to move forward with a can do attitude and a strong strategic realistic plan for studying. I think that might have been apart of my flaw. Not coming up with a plan that was obtainable for my day to day schedule. I strongly feel this time will be different and I hope the both of us can say in a few short month that we both passed this test. :)

We all struggle at times, but that's no reason to give up. So, Please don't ever give up. You can do this!

I chose Hurst, because they teach the material in a simplified manner. I loved all their teachers and you can rewatch lectures online as well. You can't pass if you don't have the information. I felt the Kaplan decision tree just wasn't my learning style. Look at both, read the reviews, and decide what works best for your learning. Everyone is different and I learned better the Hurst way. Good luck in your future!

Good luck! U can do it!!
