Does anyone know how long it takes for the NCBON to send the actual license once you've passed boards?

Once you've passed your criminal background check, I would say it takes less than two weeks to get the actual card in the mail.
Once you've passed the CBC though, your info should be online with license number and such, if an employeer needs that info.
Don't sweat the CBC. I have no criminal background, and it took me two weeks to get a license number (from the time I got the letter stating I had passed boards).

About how long did you have to wait to get your authorization to test after submitting all of your info?? I turned in my application with fees and registered with pearsonvue on 4/10/06. but i didn't get around to sending in my fingerprints and cbc authorization until 5/10/06. my instructor said she would send in the stuff she needed to send in order for us to test by 5/10/06. so i'm just wondering about how long i will have to wait. sorry if this is a repeated question. i did a search but didn't come up with anything specific to NC.

I'm still waiting also. The BON received my paperwork on 4/17, Pearsonvue has had my stuff since 4/27, and my school's director drove our qualifications to the BON on 5/9. Everythings in place... just sitting and waiting:idea:
ok...i got my ATT yesterday 5/20. it seems like most of the people in my class got it yesterday too. i scheduled my test for June 2nd @ 1230.

Does anyone know how often the North Carolina Board of Nursing updates their website? I think it is once a day, but I need to be able to print off my certificate number and take it to work. I was just curious.

I was wondering if there is a process or site on the Board where you can search for a nurse or other practitioner by name rather than by license # or SS#?
If you have gotten your ATT, when did your school send in your info (transcripts, etc.) and how long did it take from that point to receive your ATT?
We were told that our paperwork from the school would be "hand delivered" to the BON the day after exams (May 9). Well, it seems that they were not "send out" until May 22 (so much for the hand delivery). So now were two weeks behind what we had already anticipated.
I feel like I'm in this awful limbo--unable to do anything until I get a ATT. I was hoping to start orientation the week of July 10. Now I'll be lucky if I get a test date before then. I'm trying to plan a much-needed getaway, but feel stuck until I schedule my test. AGGGHHHH!!!!! :uhoh21:

We were told the same thing and thing happened th same way. If you registered for the NCLEX through the Pearson website you'll get it quicker than by mail. I received my ATT on June 4th and tested on June 7th and my license was issued on June 9th! Finding a testing date in NC for at least 3 weeks or more is going to be difficult. A friend of mine and I drove up to Richmond, VA to take it at an earlier date! Some of the other girls in our class still have yet to receive their ATTs and here I am already licensed as an RN and we were all in the same class and did most of our stuff at the same time....some by e-mail, others by US mail. No one hand delivers anything to the BON.....it's all done by mail. As long as you have already put in application with NCBON and paid your $60 for "Application of License by Exam" you should be hearing back from them shortly. I don't want to come off as getting all up in your business, but did you register for the NCLEX online or by mail? I'm just to give you a good estimated guess of when you can expect to receive it.
No. It's a professional site and protects the identity of all icensed personnel. I guess they way the figure it is if you have this personal information then they can show you that they are licensed and when they were licensed....so on. Just because you know a person's name breeches the confidentially by way of giving personal identification information that actually may be without consent of the party that the search is being conducted on. Your license# is just as precious as your social security number and these are provided with each search. Searching by name would probably make it too difficult because a lot of people licensed have the same name - it's their SS# and license# that diffrientiates them from the rest.
It took about 2 week for me to get an ATT, then I scheduled to test 3days later in Richmond, VA for lack of appointments in NC. I was issued a license on June 9th. Two days after I took the NCLEX-RN! I had always heard it would take at least 2 weeks+ to get a license issued. Oh, well....so much for that!
