Hello:
My daughter is 17 and wants badly to join the navy. She wants to be a physical therapist. She has been in navy ROTC in school and is soon to join the alliance naval cadets for teens planning to go to the service.
QUESTION: She is very short for her age. She is only 4'8" tall. She heard from friends that you have to be at least 5 ft. to join.. does any one know if this is true or not?
tossing this back out there.. she is anxious to know. thanks

According to this site http://www.armedforcescareers.com/officerrequirements.html
the minimum height requirement is 4'10" for females. I would suggest you contact a recruiter for a definitive answer and if there is a way to get around this hurdle.
