Can anyone give me some info on Navarro college? I'm considering applying for their nursing program, but would like to hear from graduates or people who have recently gone through their program. I did find some older posts from 2007, but would like to hear from people who are attending now or have more recently attended.
Thanks!!!

I have not gone there.. but we get students at the surgery center rotating through for the surgery experience from Navarro... They only spend one day with us so we do not really get to know them all that well, but from what I have gathered they all are enjoying the program and the instructors. Most of the students come in with some knowlege of surgery and the "dos and donts".
My clinical manager, 2 Preop nurses, 2 recovery nurses and one of the circulating nurses I work with all went to Navarro... They all LOVED it! And they are all like super nurses!
So I dont think you will be going wrong with that school
Im a Surgical Tech right now, I have applied to TVCC and Navarro.. Im hoping for TVCC just because I got my associates their for Surg Tech and I know all the instructors and all that good stuff but I would not be disapointed if I get into Navarro and not TVCC... either one would be FANTASTIC! :)
Thank you so much! I have not been able to find much info on that school, and I haven't met anyone who has gone through the program. Thank you!

Hi, I applied to the LVN to RN bridge program. Does anyone no how long it takes to receive the acceptance letter?
They were choosing this week, so I bet you will get a letter either way hopefully next week! Good Luck!!
Thank you, I am sooo nervous. Navarro is the only program that I applied to. Do you know what they are looking for in the applicants? I have all my prereqs except nutrition, my gpa is 3.5 and I made a 90 on the TEAS test. I'm just really anxious. lol
They mainly looking for a&p 1 and 2 and micro, and your pre entrance test, how did you do on those classes?
I got Bs in A&P I and micro and an A in A&P II. They said that all you have to make is 87.5 on the TEAs test and I got 90 in it. Just playing the waiting game now.
That is real good. When I applied last year we had to take the NET test, so I guess they changed it. Let me know if you got in and Good Luck!!
Oh okay so I talked with my friend who is also applying to the bridge program and she talked with the lady today at Navarro and that the letters will be mailed towards the middle/end of April, so not as soon as I thought. Sorry about the confusion!
Oh okay, Thanks anyway!!
