Hi,

I was wondering if any of you guys have attended National University, especially in the San Diego area. If so how were the clinicals? Do you feel prepared or competant as a nurse after? I was just asking because I currently work at a hospital as a cna and I was talking to the nurse who does the hiring. She mentioned that if you went to a school with strong clinicals, whatever that means, or a lot of clinicals that it helps you as a nurse when you get a job and start working. She kind of scared me by saying the I have hired some students with BSN but did not make the orientation or probationary period because they were not competent due to poor clinicals. Any thoughts?

Curious to know if you ever found out which schools in SD are considered to have "strong" clinicals? I know it wasn't answered here and I have also asked but maybe at your place of employment. I'm still working on prerequisites but would love to know what schools are favored due to clinical portion
