I would love to get certified, but I have an Associates Degree and you need to have a Bachelors to take the test. And going back to get it wouldn't benefit me financially at all.

I have the book and am slowly reviewing and taking practice tests in the book. Not sure when I will sit for the exam.

I had to get certified to work in NJ (public). It was rigorous so I don't think I'll be pursuing national cert unless I move.

Ditto. Would not change my pay scale one bit. So I don't know that it's "worth it."

Same here, now, if I won the lottery... yup, I would get my BSN, volunteer here and certify. Wouldn't worry about the financial outlay.

I am also in this situation - have my associates degree, would LOVE to get my bachelor's but as of right now, it would not affect my pay scale. Trying to get the school board and superintendent to see my point of view. I would at least like to be at the same level as the teachers.
I think you need to ask in the Nursing School forum
I would not receive a pay raise, but just was somewhat interested.
Thanks everyone for your responses!!

I have the review book, will try to take the exam within the next year. I don't think it'd affect my pay either, but it's just something I want to do personally. It seems like it'd be good on a resume, too.
