hello, im looking for some advice.

I am from Florida and will be relocating to Nashville. I have applied to nurse Residencys, but will also apply for any jobs to start from. My dream is to be in the NICU, but am intrested in womens services.

My question is have much is the average for a nuse in nashville?

is it doable to live in the city, i will be moving with little cushion financially and dont want to set my self up for failure.

of course i will have the dreaded student loans.

thank you so much for any help!

You're applying for a "Residency" does that mean you're a new nurse? Most of the nurse residency programs pay pretty low. $21-$22 hourly and they require you to sign a contract. Also the cost of living in Nashville is getting out of control because it's one of the "it" cities now. One bedroom apartments average $1200-$1400 a month. Staff nurses make anywhere between $21-$35 depending on experience and shift.
