I need to write 2 newborn care plans. My patient was completely healthy. AGA at 38/4, vitals WNL, no body system abnormalities, breastfeeding without any problems. The one NANDA I'm already using is: risk for ineffective thermoregulation. I cannot think of another NANDA for a completely healthy newborn with a mother that had no abnormalities or complications either. Please Help!

Think about the things you were taught to carefully monitor in newborns- feeding, voids, vital signs, environmental safety, parental attachment and skill/comfort level with their newborn... why do you watch for these things? What physiological changes occur as a baby transitions to extrauterine life? Is the mother exhausted from a long labor, or recovering from a large tear? Is she a first time mom?
I think risk for thermoregulation is a good one :)
I completely overlooked that mom was gbs positive, so I'm going with risk for infection
