Name the hospital and its starting salary!

Published

I recently saw a post like this but it was closed.

Thought it would be a great idea to start back up, as that topic was years old anyway and therefore obviously outdated.

So, please post the hospital name/location, your job title and starting salary! :)

In this day and age, you cannot pick a job by salary. You have to consider the work environment also and many other factors like benefit package. Some hospital have higher salaries but crappy benefits. Also if you are a new grad...you cant base yourself on salary as jobs are hard to come by for RNs with no experience and you def cannot negotiate salary with an employer b/c u can easily be denied the job. If you are experienced nurse then you can be picky with salary. And I hear even experienced RNs have challenge in getting a new job in certain areas. The job market is not easy.

Focus on having a great application and interview and once you get a job offer then worry about the numbers.

Oh, I wasn't planning on basing a job off salary. Just thought it would be good info to know :) I'm curious, mostly. And wondering if Indeed is anywhere near correct :)

VNSNY STARTING SALARY IS APPROX ~ 76k, PLUS BSN DIFFERENTIAL OF ABOUT $1500/YEAR.

Does vnsny still hire new grads? I have been looking at their website periodically and didn't see any opportunities for new grads.

from my interview at westchester medical center new grads start at 65000, 6k differential for nights

Thank you for starting this thread, the other one was so outdated.

It's nice to know if you go for an interview about how much that certain hospital pays, it doesn't mean that any new grads think that we can be picky :)

Thanks for starting this thread

If there is any info on Chicago hospitals that would be super helpful to me :)
