Hi. I'm a repeat test taker & took the nclex again on 7/15. I did the PVT but the credit card page came up. I checked my board of nursing but my name was there with no license # but instead license status says pending. Didn't want to check my result yet since I'm anxious. I have a gut feeling that I didn't do well. I did about 167 questions in 3 hrs. I had lots of SATA, priority, 2 exhibits, 2 math, 3 drag & drop, & rest were multiple choice.
My nursing background, I was an average student in school & on the exams. I have terrible test anxiety. I was better at clinicals than at exams. I'm glad that I at least graduated. I'm the only one in my family who is going for nursing. My husband, parents, in-laws, & friends always ask me about it. I try to avoid the topic. I feel a lot of pressure to pass. It's been years since I graduated nursing school since I took care of my parents when they were both sick w/breast cancer & kidney failure.
My finances are limited & can't afford a review class right now plus I don't have that much PTOs w/my current employer. I studied by using uworld for 3 months. My scores were between 40s-60s. I also used Mark Klimek & prayed alot. If I didn't pass I would feel devastated. Everyone is counting on me to be a RN already, including me. If I passed, I would really be shocked! My husband is the only one who knows I took it. He wants me to check my result but I'm afraid.
I would gladly appreciate any tips & advice. Thanks.

You should check! You could be stressing for nothing instead of celebrating! No one feels like they passed after taking the NCLEX.
GOOD LUCK!!

I wish it was that easy but once I fail more than once I have a resistance to check. Will try to get the courage to check.

Whether you passed or not is going to change if you put off checking your results. Just check. I felt kinda weird too after taking it, wasn't very sure. It shut off for me at 75. One of my classmate friends had all 265 questions, and he passed too.
I also had a classmate with all 265 questions and passed

I am sorry you are having a hard time with this, did you check yet?
There is not shame in not passing, I hope you pass this time but if not you will just keep moving forward and try again.
I know it is hard when we feel others expectations but try not to internalize those feelings. Talk with your husband and get a new game plan. You can look for used books, ask friends for assistance with studying etc and just keep trying.
I knew a classmate you took at least 3 times but never gave up and is now a great nurse.
I hope you have results by now, good luck either way!!

I did the PVT but the credit card page came up.
Everyone gets the credit card page and must submit their information to register for another exam. The “trick” is if it will not you pay for another exam then that’s the good pvt. if it either charges your credit card (or declines it) that’s the bad pvt.
best of luck.
I finally had the courage to check today. I didn't pass. ? I'm mentally, emotionally, & physically exhausted. I'm disappointed. ? A lot of people are counting on me. Any advice for next time?
I am so sorry you did not pass. I hope that you take some time to heal from this bc if you are "exhausted" in every way from this experience that is what you need to do first and foremost. I dont know what you mean by people are counting on you but if you mean financially maybe a job doing anything until you are able to take the test again. I have not taken the test recently so I cant really offer advise per se but maybe you have friends or classmates that can offer more personal advise and/or help you study. Again, i know nurses who have taken the test multiple times so try to not get (too) discouraged. Talk to your husband, regroup, and find some doable solutions until you pass the test. Wishing you well!!

UWORLD, and Saunders as a reading reference. You can also practice the online Saunders questions.
I’m really sorry you did not pass. I only used UWorld. I finished the entire question bank and assessments. I read every single rationale for every single answer choice. I recommend that highly. If you are struggling with content, Saunders is a solid addition to UWorld.
Take a little time to heal and get back in the game with a clean slate.
Good luck and sending positive vibes your way!

Does anyone still use Mosby's Comprehensive Nursing Review? I found it immensely helpful back in the Stone Age.
