Good Morning Everyone!
I just found out this morning that I passed the NCLEX-RN exam! :) I know how difficult preparing for the NCLEX may be, which is why I would like to share my experience with you. I graduated about 1 1/2 years ago from nursing school. Within 2 months of graduation, almost all my friends had passed their board exam and started working. Little did I know that I had to struggle to pass my boards. It actually took me a total of 5 times! The first time I took it I had 89 questions, the second time I took it I had 168 questions, the third time I took it I had 120 questions, and the fourth time I took it I had 265 questions. I used everything I could to help me study. I used textbooks, such as Saunders, Kaplan, and Mosby's. I even took the Kaplan Strategy course (the live course). Nothing seemed to work and I was starting to lose hope. I felt very fustrated and sad, I was even thinking about changing my career. But something inside of me told me not to give up, keep trying. It was extremely hard, but that's exactly what I did. My friends and family were very supportive and they helped me. I took my board exam for the fifth time yesterday and I had 75 questions. This time I was still a little nervous, but I had so much more confidence. I just found out that I passed this morning. I was so happy that I cried. It was the best feeling in the world. This time I used Hurst Review (the live course) to study. I made sure I knew the entire book inside and out. I did 100 questions a day for 1 month. This is what I know helped me. If you were in the same position as I was, please don't give up. I understand what you're going through because I've been there. You may feel like you're the only one left to pass, but you're not. If everyone else can do it, I promise that you can do it too. All you have to do is believe in yourself. Keep trying and you will get to your destination. There is a time for all of us. Just remember that my prayers are with you. I hope my experience will inspire you to the great nurse that you are meant to be! :heartbeat

I am very happy for you. All your hard work has payed off. I know you will be a wonderful nurse. I took mine yesterday. I did 75 questions and it was awful. I tried the "trick" and I could not reschedule. I pray that I did pass. My whole family is depending on me. So tell me, what department are you going to work?
