My mind is made up...2/24 is the day!!

Published

Well I just finished my last Kaplan question trainer test (265Q) and got 68%. I decided pre-test if it was over 65% I was going to keep my appt. Needless to say I am getting really nervous but I can't keep letting this test drive me crazy. I feel like I could study forever and never feel good about taking it. I have reviewed a ton though (Kaplan, NCSBN, Mosby). Any encouragement and last minute advice would be appreciated!! Thanks!!!

Good luck and keep us posted :)

Good luck to you!

Well I just finished, it was positively horrible. It shut off at 75. Some questions I knew but there were some I've never even heard of. I just want to be an RN, I already have a new-grad position and everything. This is going to be the worst two weeks of my life until I find out the results. I'm praying I pass :o

I'm sure you did great.

I took it to 75, and felt that I pretty much narrowed it down to 2 and then totally guessed.

I also had a terrible stomach bug that day, felt like I was going to barf, and could not even concentrate. I just answered each question so the test would end and I could go home-I felt so bad. I just planned on retaking.

Anyway, I passed (I was pretty surprised).

It sounds like, from what I hear, most of the people that have the test end at 75 end up passing.

I'm sure you did-just keep busy! I went away to NY for the weekend while I waited.

Keep us posted!

I've never read a post from anyone saying they felt good when they'd just done NCLEX so your feelings are quite normal. Also, a 75 shut off is usually a good sign from what I've seen on this thread. It must be hard for you having to wait 2 weeks and you have my sympathy but stay positive, it's done now and you've probably passed anyway! Keep in touch :)

Tina

I wish you the best.. we will be waiting together! Taking the NCLEX isn't fun.. Sorry about how you felt about the experience. I'll see you at orientation monday! :)

I was just curious as to why your results should be SO SLOW in CA. This is the NATIONAL BOARD OF NURSING exam we are talking about. In NY, I had my results in 2 days (48 hours) after the test - why can't you get them from pearsonvue.com ??? Just curious - but that seems really unfair compared to the rest of us!!!!

Randy (My thoughts are with you all)

Honestly I don't know why they are slow slow. I'm sure there are a lot of applicants which could be part of it but then again I would think NY would have a lot of applicants also. It's probably due to budget cuts but I'm still now sure why they don't subscribe to the quickresults. Oh well I guess all the CA applicants have to suffer it out:)

I've been licensed for many years now....

but not so long that we had to wait YEARS, as someone said about the good old days.

However, a few years ago when I took it, we were not able to even verify licenses online, let alone get the results.

Alas, I still did not have to wait that long. From test day (on a Friday) to receiving my results in the mail (the Saturday of the next week) was only 5 business days...six if you count the actual test day. We used to say that as soon as the test stops The Board knows if you passed or not. We would ponder why we couldn't get results on the spot.

Now, instant gratification.

Well how did you do???

Well how did you do???

The computer shut off at 75 and to this minute there is nothing posted on the board website....AAAHHH I just want to find out already. When I get the results I'll let everyone know...I hope it's soon!!!!
