I took my HESI A2 exam today and got a grade of 92%.
The school I am applying to (Tallahassee Community College for ADN) only requires math, grammar, reading, and vocabulary.
For studying I used Hesi Admission Assessment Exam Review (4th edition) and quizlet plus random websites from googling "Hesi practice exam"
Despite always thinking about how I need to study I didn't actually start studying until two days before. (I know I'm bad )
I used the calculator on the computer and i took two hours and twenty minutes to complete it.
Here's my experience!
Math-score of 86%
Most of the math I felt like I learned it in middle school or in early high school, the tricky part was trying to remember everything lol. MAJORITY was proportions!
example (not actually from exam)- : 1:2::x:3 solve for x. or what is 75% of 23
There were also lots of fractions! Know how to add, subtract, divide and multiply them.
I did not have any roman numerals and probably less than five conversion questions. One that I absolutely guess on was converting milliliters to grams (or vice versa i dont remember). I studied lots of ounces to pints and things like that but didnt study much about grams to liters
Vocab-score of 94%
Lots of them I remembered from my study guide I feel like that did make a significant difference. Being familiar with the terms is all you can really do...ex I remembered what "patent" meant because I remember how it was used in a sentence in the book.
Grammar - score of 96%
I felt it was the most difficult but i ironically got the highest grade in that section. Most of the questions were "which word/sentence is used incorrectly/correctly" or identify a part of speech. Lots of times I felt like all options were correct or I simply didn't know the answer. Didn't realize how many details to English there are until I was actually tested on it.
Reading - 94%
It was alright. You get a passage and answer some questions. Some were tricky all you can do it practice for that honestly.
Most of my prerequisites are completed with a grade of A...i believe four Bs. Nothing lower than that.
Do you think this is a good enough HESI score? This college allows for two attempts...but I live in Miami (8 hour drive). I've already made the second appointment just in case I decide to do it but do you think I should make the drive again to get higher than 92%
If you took the HESI what score did you get accepted with?

I took the HESI A2 twice. The first time I made a 77. Well I had originally been told that less than an 80 won't get accepted. So when I retook it I made an 82. After I applied, they said they required a 70 on the HESI.
Either way, the HESI requirements can vary based on how other people did in the group that's applying with you.
I don't know if it's relevant or not, but I got accepted into my local community college and the university.
I personally think a 92 is awesome! Great job!
