Dear All,
I am presently working outside the Philippines and planning to go back home & enroll BSN as a "second courser" in June 2007. I am 4 ft. & 9 inches tall.
I am asking for advice from you guys (or whether you know someone) who is inspired to become a nurse but has a height below 5 ft.
Thank you in advance.

I know plenty of people who are under 5ft tall that have a 4yr BSN RN under their belt. Besides how cool will it be when patients will have to "look UP" while looking down. Anything is managable when you put your mind to it!!!!!! :monkeydance:

I work with a Filipina nurse that is even shorter than that.
If you want to be 100% sure if there is a height requirement for the school you want to go to, then you should contact them directly. But here in the US, there isn't a height restriction that I'm aware of.
Good luck!

My instructor was shorter than you. What a firecraker! She is an RN, MSN, and MBA.
Thank you for the encouragement taylor21. I guess, i do not need a stool or ladder.
Thank you for your advice Tweety, i'll do that. Nice to live in a "multi height" society.
Thanks for your encouragement wannabemalern. I will follow up.
:wink2: I'll follow up sonnyjohn not turning it to firecraker. Thanks.

I'm 4 ft 7 and am a nursing student in an RN program. So far so good. It has never been an issue.
Hi 1NAmyllion
Thanks a lot.
