Hi, all
I just graduated nursing school in June and passed NCLEX a week ago.
First of all, I made a mistake of not applying early enough.
Most of nursing grad positions are closed and I am now waiting for one position for reply.
Currently, I am thinking about moving to east coast and have been
searching for jobs in New York and New Jersey areas. I found several
new grad positions in well known hospitals and am ready to apply.
I don't have nurse tech experience but have some nursing assistant
experience with strong volunteer experience which is health care
related. The thing I am concerned is that I am an RN with Associate
Degree. Even though my college is well known with good reputation
in this area, I believe that it is my weakness; they mention that they
prefer BSN. Is it worth to try?

It's definitely worth a try. What do you have to lose? Complete the application process, interview, etc. and see what they have to say. You should probably mention your intentions to go back to school for your BSN as part of your application. That might help a little.
Good luck.

Of course it is worth trying!!! And listen, if you have missed the first train, there's always the next one. I would even recommend you to try the cold contact technique when searching for a job. Meaning apply for jobs which are not advertised. Just pick a hospital or a clinic and hand in a cover letter in which you express your intention
