hi, is anyone here registered in a particular state in australia and have been registered to another state through the Mutual Recognition Act.?
if you are an overseas nurse registered in one of the states in australia, and you decided to transfer your registration to another state in australia, do you have to do the bridging program again? like what you did in your first registration?
thanks!

I believe once you have registration in one state you can just pay the fee to another state, give them your reg number/copy of the certificate and become licensed in that state.
thanks...so that means, your certificate/license will be surrendered? and that once youre already a registered nurse in another state, you are no longer a RN in the state you originally been registered?
No, that's not what I said at all. As long as you have paid the annual registration fee and meet the eligibility requirements for rego renewal, you can be licensed in all states concurrently if you like. There is talk that there will soon be national registration so you can register once and move around freely to work, but it's not happened yet.
