MTSA 2020

Hello all!

I am going to be applying for MTSA's doctorate program for nurse anesthesia. The application opens in January of 2019. Just wondering if anyone else out there is going to be applying? I just finished my first year of nursing in a Level 2 Trauma ICU! By the time I apply I will have about a year and a half of nursing experience. Hopefully this will be enough!

Haha it'll be my first interview so I am slightly nervous. In the past years that I have seen, the interview is pretty intense. But in the email we got yesterday, it does not sound as hard as it has been. Brief 10-15 minute interview!

This will be my first interview also. And true, I noticed that too, but definitely prepare for the worst anyway!

I know someone in the program currently

I do, he finished in November.

been a CRNA for about 6 months now at my hospital. I spoke with him a few times when he would work in icu as a nurse during breaks, and he had a lot of good things to say about the school after he finished

Same! I’ve heard too that the staff help you out so much if you’re struggling!

Hey everyone! How is studying going for ya'll? One more day until the first day of interviews! Anyone else extremely nervous? Lol

Yep the whole process is nerve-racking for me. I’m interviewing on Thursday too. I have done what time permitted me to and I believe I could study for one more month and it still won’t be enough. All I can therefore say is, “que sera sera.”
