MSN ed: Just my opinion

Published

Prior to starting this program I read every post out there to learn what I was getting myself into, so I decided to write in case someone else is doing the same.

I recently started the MSN Ed program and I love it. It is PERFECT for me (full time worker, children, on a budget). I highly recommend this program for anyone who works well independently, has good organization, and enjoys online learning. It is a ton of writing long papers and research. the content is very relevant and will absolutely be utilized in practice. I've done some hospital education and I'm currently in academia and the information so far has been very useful. As far as ability to get jobs, I work with faculty that have msn degrees from WGU.

Advice, focus and set goals. Write a little bit everyday if possible even if you just edit and format a paragraph. I managed to finish a class in 1 week by doing this. It was about a 9 page paper in apa format with sources. People aren't lying. It can be done! I'm super glad I found this program. it is definitely for the non traditional student.

I'm closing in on the MSN in leadership and hope to be done in about two months. It's taken me a bit longer than the two semesters/year goal I had but still not bad! I have had some challenges with curriculum changes and sometimes I wonder if the Taskstream graders have more info on the rubric than I do but absolutely I LOVE WGU!!!

and I was skeptical bc the speed people were getting done, it is all about flexibility and no time wasted commuting and sitting in classrooms. Glad you love it too.
