Msn courses to take per semester...pls help

Published

Hi all,

I am starting my MSN FNP program this coming Spring 2011 and would like to know what classe combination I can take for this semester without killing myself. I did register for Advance patho, Advance health ass, Clinical Pharma and Mental health...of course with a idea to drop before the beginning of the semester but want to take 2 classes this semester ...Which one do you suggest me to take. All courses are In classroom not online.

Is Mental Health + adv Assem a good combination, and take in summer ADV Patho and Pharma...?

What do you think? Please help, I will really appreciate your input..

Adv patho and pharm are both very heavy, memorization-based classes. If you can split them, I would. Patho and assessment are good together because you can tie what you're learning in each class together.

Thank you for your reply and advices.

THIS IS AN EXCELLENT QUESTION!! I'M GLAD SOMEONE ASKED!! I was thinking the same thing! What school did you get accepted to?

I just recently got accepted into a FNP program for Fall 2011. My school is a brick & mortar. I'm also going PART TIME and working FULL TIME. However, some classes will be available online. I've heard HORROR STORIES of taking Adv.Patho & Adv.Pharm at the same time or either of these with Adv. Assessment.

I was thinking of taking Theory & Adv.Assessment (1st semester), then Research & Adv. Patho (2nd semester), and Adv.Pharm & Adv.Nursing Role (3rd semester). What do any former or current NP students feel about this CLASS COLLOBORATION?
