Help, If anyone could please refer me to a decent program or two that will allow be to obtain my MSN or directly to my DNP and obtain certification as FPMHNP. I must go distance. I cannot afford Vanderbilt or Rush. I have a badvibe with brandman....
ME:
BSN 2002: 2.91
3 Grad Courses in Education/ Teaching (so I could teach,) 4.0
3 Grad Courses in MS Nursing (one semester,) 3.22
10 years of mixed Psych, all ages, all dx.
Very culturally competent.
What can I do to strengthen my application? Or, anyone aware of a program that might offer provisional admission? I know I can do it...
Ideas of any types are welcome, seriously!

Hello,
I just was accepted to the MSN to DNP with adding a certification as a PHMNP program at the University of South Alabama. There are mixed reviews on the school, some students say it's disorganized, whereas other students have had a good experience.
The school does offer a BSN to DNP option.
The program is 100% online and you need to find your own preceptors in your community.
The tuition is affordable. It's currently $481 per credit.
It's good you have psych experience, they like to see that for the PMHNP program.
I'm not sure if the school has a minimum GPA requirement.
It's worth checking out.
Good luck to you!
Hi
May I ask, your GPA?

I have looked into USA as well, they do have a minimum GPA requirement but I know I read on their site somewhere that they may choose to admit a student sort of like on a probationary status (I cannot recall exactly what it said) and if you make it so far into the program then you gain full acceptance. I have also been emailing EKU with different questions and they are very prompt with answering. I appreciate that, you might email them and see if they do anything like that.
