MSN,BSN AND RN

Published

Please i need immediate suggestions on what to do. i applied for nursing program in three different schools. one for Rn, 2nd for BSN and the 3rd for MSN. i got accepted into all three schools.

In order to avoid too much student's loan, which is the best program to accept? if i chose MSN do you think its easy to get well paid job to be able to take care of students loan which will be estimated to be 100k. someone said its better to go for BSN program because it will take years of experience to make good money as MSN. What would you do?

I wouldn't consider MSN at this point. As for the ADN verses BSN, that depends largely on the market where you're located and what kind of schools we're talking about (private and $$$ verses public and reasonable). I would also be good to consider how much debt you currently have, how much more you can take on, how much you'll be able to work during the program, how soon you need to get to work as a nurse, and whether or not you're willing to move as a new graduate.

Welcome to AN, I see this is your first post. Even with an MSN (sounds like you already have a bachelor's degree in another field? & will be looking at a Master's entry into nursing) you will still be a new graduate nurse with no experience and most likely you will be paid as a new nurse/RN. You mention 100K in student loans. Not knowing which schools you applied to & what tuition is at all 3 that you applied to makes it difficult to offer much advice. Usually community colleges are the cheapest tuition for associate degree RN. So- where did you apply and what is the cost of each program?

Unequivocally I advise getting a BSN.

First of, thank you so much for quick responds. For MSN seton hall university (100k no financial aid), BSN chamberlain college of nursing 55-60k with federal finical aid and those sub and unsub loans) and Rn Bergen community college not very sure yet but 20-22k. each school is two years to complete the program.
