hello!

my boyfriends job is requiring a move to maine, to the northeast of caribou?...

what can i expect in the winter?

i have a dodge stratus, not exactly good for driving in feet of snow...do i need 4wd?

am i nuts for even thinkong of moving there in dec?

im from ohio, but i know we dont get snow like that here...any advice would be helpful for the northeast part of the state....

I am hoping to be in Maine by Jan , looking for ER or ICU contract in Portland area,i cant wait miss the snow!

Is the Stratus front wheel drive? If so, outfit the car with a set of studded snow tired and you should be fine. And remember, drive in a lower gear and downshift, don't brake, in the snow.

I love winter. I live in the Adirondack Mountains and it's a wonderful season.

Caribou is in "the County" (Aroostook County) and I've heard it's freezing up there. I've only been here 1.5 years and live down in Portland. Last winter was totally fine temperature-wise. But the previous poster's suggestion to get studded tires is spot on. At least some winter tires of sorts is a good suggestion.
