Moving from Hospitality Management to Nursing school, Is this possible?

Published

Hi,

I have a bachelor degree in Hospitality Management and I am working in some Resort right now, but I am considering to go back to shool to get a RN degree, which one is the fastest way to go? I am a female 30 years old and I want to be a mom soon so I do not want to spend to much time in school. Thanks for your advices in advance.

I was an English major and wanted to become teacher.....you will get credit for you bachelors. contact your Community college or University and talk to a degree counselor to see which courses transfer. Good luck and go for it!!!!!!

I'm sure that some of your credits will transfer, but chances are you probably don't have a lot of science credits. For these youll'e have to start at the beginning. It also depends on if your'e planning on working while going back to school. Plan on taking minimum of 6 pre requs if not more. I had to start from scratch and will end up taking about 12 pre requs. This will probably take a minimum of a year and a half, but I know people that have been in school for up to three years, because they work, and these are not easy classes. Most nursing programs require at least a 3.7 gpa, and lots of students don't want two pile up too many classes at a time. DON'T LET THIS DISCOURAGE YOU! Time will go by whether your in school or not so you might as well get started! Good luck, you can do this!
