dms - hi! i stopped receiving notifications from this thread so im glad i checked today :) :bugeyes: as for your question about the instructors, feel of campus, etc., it was excellent! i know i cant speak for the nursing program, but i can for the staff at the undergrad college & weekend college. every instructor i had was warm, highly intelligent and challenging. if it wasn't for my positive experience at msmc, i would definitely not have applied to come back. :)

Wow I'm a little concerned about this scholarship situation - I was kinda depending on that (if I get accepted, that is). Are there other options for students who are.. ahem... broke? Private student loans? I hear there are several hospitals that will agree to pay off student loans upon hiring, but I am unclear about the process. Anyone have any insight?

p.s. totally random, but what is this "uniform" we get fitted for? scrubs?

This is the info that I got from financial aid regarding scholarships. This is how many got them I believe from the class before.

Based on the 08/09 school year the following scholarships were awarded:

Kaiser 4

Northridge 2

Torrance 11

When I talked about that not being the original 40 that I had been told. I was told that in the past it seemed that everyone that wanted one did but now they think that they are also being offered to the traditional students. Also it is not a sure thing how many will be offered . It is up to the hospitals each year. Since I have experienced hospitals pulling out I decided not to bet on this being a sure thing.. still 17 is a lot.. and if you get a job a great thing..

i checked my web advisor today and it said "Transfer Credit Eval Update" on

April. 20th under my document section.

do you know what is this mean? i am worried.....

could you let me know if you know anything about this?

don't quote me but I think it has to do with your transfer classes. it sounds like they are verifying your classes.

Hi All,

Reading the threads about Mt. Saint Mary's application process, have really helped bring a sense of sanity to all this waiting. It seems as though I am now checking my Webadvisor account on an hourly basis for any sort of sign of acceptance. I didn't think it was going to take quite this long to hear back from them. My early experiences were a bit awkward since I couldn't get a response to either my email or phone messages.

Now that the application process for Fall 2009 has been closed for 6 weeks, and all of my documents are in, it feels like I'm in a state of limbo. I kind of wish there was some sort of acknowledgment from their side as to the progress of their review. The words "In Review Process" are scorched into my eyes!:D

Anyway, good luck to all of you! I hope we get to meet one another in the not too distant future.
