Mount St. Mary's College LA - Accelerated BSN 2009

Published

This is a new thread for anyone applying to the Mount St. Mary's College Accelerated BSN program in Los Angeles. Please feel free to share, and discuss your application process with us.

There is also lots of information available through previous MSMC threads!

Good luck to everyone!

:D

I'm finishing up one prereq next week and another over the summer. None are science classes, however.

To those of you who got in... CONGRATULATIONS and GOOD LUCK! :anpom:

My WebAdvisor status is still "in review process". Does anyone know if it's supposed to change when we're "not accepted"? Or must I stalk the mailman? haha

I still had Physiology and Philosophy in process when I applied, but I have a strong academic history in both science and humanities.

If you have a lot of unfinished pre-requs, it gets pretty hard to assess the applicant....

MSMChopeful-I just finished all my prereq's this past spring semester. Good luck!

Hi Everyone! Thank you all for your responses, they have been very helpful! I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will get a spot this fall!

Hello, Everyone,

Could anyone suggest some Religious Studies courses in the L.A. and/or Orange County areas I can take this Summer?

Hello, Everyone,

Hello everyone :)

I also got accepted to the program. I'm in a dilemma though...Does anyone know about the UCLA MECN program (Master's Entry Clinical Nursing) I got accepted there also. I know they're both good programs, but does Mt. St. Mary's have a better reputation??? I'm driving myself crazy trying to make the right choice. Thanks. And Congrats to everyone who got in!!

if you've been given the shot at the masters degree, why not?

Well, I've heard that entry level Master's programs are essentially the same thing as a BSN, but I'm not sure...

Just checked my status and it says "waitlisted". Anyone happen to know if people on last year's waiting list actually got in? Congrats to those who were accepted!! Guess I'll have to try again for the summer start!

I was accepted for this summmer and at the last minute pulled out.. I decided to go to another school that I got accepted to closer to home..I applied to 5 schools.. I would say there is always a chance. I am sure that many people like me applied to several schools.:nurse:
