Mount Saint Mary's ABSN Fall 2017

Hi everyone,

I submitted my application for MSMU ABSN Fall 2017 a couple of weeks ago and thought it would be great to start a page and see who else applied!

Sounds like we should be hearing whether we're invited to take the math exam within the next month!

Has anyone heard anything else? It'd be great to keep each other updated through this crazy process!

I applied last February 20. According to Agasia, invitations to take the Math Exam will be end of March.

Oh awesome! Where else did you apply? MSMU is my first choice school, so I'm really anxious.

I am applying to UCLAs MECN and CalState La. do you have access to some portal that tells you the status of your application for Mount Saint Mary's ? Thanks

Not that I'm aware of. My application just says "Completed." What does yours say?

I'm only applying to MSMU and USF Orange County campus this time around, since I still have some pre-reqs in progress. I'm hoping that doesn't hold me back. I work full time as an ER tech at Torrance Memorial Hospital, go to school part time to finish my pre-reqs, as well as work as a microbiology tutor at the local community college. I'm a certified EMT, graduated from USC as my undergrad (in business, although my GPA isn't as great as I'd like it to be).

I feel like they look at everyone as a whole, but who knows!

Mine says completed too. I am anxious too. Let's just hope for the best. I am still working on my last prerequisite which is Physiology. Are you done with yours or you still working on some ?

Yes, let's hope we both get in! We should hear about the math exam late next week, which is exciting!

I'm taking Physiology and Life Span Dev Psychology right now. This summer I would have to finish Intro to Sociology and my last religion class. I have a 4.0 in my pre-reqs so far, so hoping me having classes in progress won't hinder me too much.

Where did you do your undergrad? Do you have any volunteer/work experience? I work at Torrance Memorial Hospital right now as an ER tech, and would love to work there once graduating from nursing school!

@hritchie13 no feedback yet. Hey I have question regarding financing a second bachelors degree. I spoke to Luis Flores from the financial aid office of Mount Saint Mary's and he said that federal loans are likely limited to those who seek a second bachelors degree. So the option is to take private loans...what are your thoughts? How do you plan to finance yours?
