Hello All! I would like to start a thread on applicants for Fall 2015 for Motlow. I just took my HESI, got an 87 (not as high as I hoped) and my GPA is 4.0. This gives me a 735. Anyone else want to volunteer their grades/scores? Good luck to all!

Hi! I've also applied for fall 2015 MSCC RN program. I was accepted last year, but unfortunately ran into some financial aid problems directly before the beginning of classes. I was very heartbroken, but there's always this coming year! I have a 4.0 GPA and a HESI score of 89.6. My overall score is 748.
I am hoping I have enough points to get in with a 735 total. Best of luck to you!
Your score is pretty high. I think u have a really good chance. I'm pretty sure they tweeked the scores for admission since last year. I think last year the minimum was a GPA of 2.5 and a HESI score of 75%, but this year the minimum scores are GPA of 2.75 and HESI of 80%. These message boards on allnurses were blowing up at this time last year and the year before. I believe the higher standards may be to blame for all the inactivity.

I have a 4.0 GPA and I made a 91.2 on my Hesi, 756 points total. I hope they send out letters soon. Last year there was over 800 applicants. Smyrna campus is my first choice but I have heard that we will still be driving to the main campus two days a week.

Just wanted to wish everybody a good luck in getting into the program, my name is Ali, and I'm in Motlow Nursing class of 2016, and in my second semester now!! If you have any question I would be more than happy to answer it as the time permit.
hang in there, you almost in Nursing School!!
Thank you Ali, do you have any suggestions on how to prepare for the fall?
Always try to take one step at a time. The instructors will walk you through it so you don't sink in!! They will give you guys the reading material in the summer, so buy the book in the summer and start.
Good luck
So several of my classmates were able to retake the HESI for free today because the clock "day light savings time" was not properly set during their test. I have heard from several of the students who re took them exam and most scored 6-10 points higher than they did just a week ago. I feel very disappointed that I was not allowed to retake the HESI also seems unfair I took my test in the same room same day just after the group who go the free retake. NOW my stress level is through the roof! Some of the people completely failed and now they have passed. Do you guys think this was fair? I am happy for my friends, but at the same time I feel like the whole situation is unfair. Now we will probably have to wait even longer as well. I think we should have all been given a chance not just one group. Taking a test twice in a short time can easily help your score and they know that or else we would have the opportunity to take it every week.
