Mother, wife, dance teacher... AND nursing student

Published

HI!

Excited to start in a week... BUT I am all nerves. I have had to write out my schedule and LIVE by my planner. My daughter is in dance, my son is in soccer, I teach dance once a week (and I am hoping to be able to have a "brain break" by taking something active without having to teach! but that means additional time away from family and studying), but my husbands schedule changes regularly (and he also has MS... so an entirely different set of problems comes from that). I have an incredible sitter and her mother drives my kids to school AND picks them up. It is so spendy though, on top of everything else. Did I mention I have NO credible family members around to help?! One day a week, I will basically live out of my car. I will literally have to pack a cooler and a bunch of clothes. I also do ALL the shopping and bill paying. I am already feeling OVERWHELMED. I know that this is what I need to do... as I mentioned, My husband has MS and he is only 30. He won't be able to work forever and this is something I started in the Army as a medic. It is something I have wanted to do for 10 years. I am finally here and in the program... but I feel the PRESSURE and I would like to know of any tips that you all may have for me... Thanks in advance!

you are going to have to cut out something or you will have health problems, if not kid/marriage problems. Nursing school does not last forever. Everybody in the house can chip in for a while, maybe get friends to take them places and after nursing school you can return to the fun things. But you are working towards a disaster
