I know how competitive crna school is. I m a mother of two kids but I have great support at home. How can I be sure or how can I show the school that my family will not be a burden to my study?

This was my first year interviewing, still waiting to see if I got in but its not as if schools have a place on your application that states: How many kids do you have and how won't they be a burden to you during our program? Their were plenty of women at my interview. The two I sat next to both mentioned they have families and kids to me while we were making small chat. I have two daughters of my own. Interviewers arent going to ask you directly questions about how you're going to manage your kids. Show them on your application how you're a stand out candidate. Honestly the closest question I got relating to my children was "what do you do to blow off steam?", and I frankly told them I have two daughters and my down time is spent enjoying them and making them happy.

Hey thanks for reply!!! Best wishes for you as well! I know it’s hard with family and kids but i hope our determination will shine thru! Keep me posted if you get in crna school ~
When I interviewed their was two current SRNA students their answering questions. We all know CRNA school is a full time job and hard work, but they made it seem like keeping a normal family life is definitely achievable just takes planning. I wouldnt let the fact that you have a family scare you from applying especially since it sounds like you have a strong support system. Anyways just thought I would add that since it sounds like the family aspect is definitely giving you some anxiety, hell it makes me nervous too but I just try to live every day like it's my best day on earth =).
Hi TPN!!! Thanks for the encouraging words and I agree that planning is the key! I m nervous about applying coz I never feel truly ready but here I m giving it my best shot so I will have no regrets in life!! I know I have planned crna in my life, I just have to show them!! ?
Best of luck, wishing you all the best
