Hello! I would like to know more about the RN program at Moorpark College (at Moorpark, CA). If you are a past, current or prospective student - please chime in and let me know what you think of the program. If you are a current student, what were your stats when you applied? Also, what is the typical schedule? Do you have lecture on certain days and then clinicals on other days? When/what time? If anyone at all has any info (or thoughts, etc.) on the program (positive or negative), please feel free to post! Thank you so much!
Anyone?!?! Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Hi! I just applied to Moorparks ADN program for Spring 2014.. Haven't heard anything back yet! DId you apply?
Thank you for responding. Yes, I too applied for Spring 2014. I was invited to take the TEAS there, but I ended up taking it elsewhere due to scheduling conflicts. But other than that, just waiting too! I'm just trying to figure out where their clinicals will be held - and also what days?

Hi Guys! So nice to see and hear from others that applied to Moorpark! I have been waiting for almost two years to hear from them!! Really crossing my fingers that I get accepted for Spring 2014 if not I have to reapply I didnt get that great of a TEAs score so thats probably whats holding me back.... Do you mind if I ask how you guys did?? My GPA is decent and I have 10 years healthcare exp. I also applied to COC and didnt get in for Spring. By the time I get in I might have given myself an ulcer with all this waiting I have a friend in 3rd semester at Moorpark and also a friend in 2nd Semester and they love it but its def not easy.... You have one day of class work and the other day or 2 is your clinicals..... depending on what semester your in. Hope this helps! Hope to hear from you guys!

I've also applied for Spring 2014. Does anyone know when we should be hearing back from them? It seems that the orientation is set for November 4 (according to the website), which means that we might hear from them before October is over. I am trying to understand how many points are needed to be considered a "top ranking" applicant. Any clues?
Hello @omgonlyinstilettos! Thanks for posting! Wow, 10 years of healthcare exp is great! As for my stats, well I did decent on the TEAS but didn't score competitively at just 82%. However, that was my fault because I did not plan on applying for Spring 2014 entry until the last minute, thus only had less than a week to study and didn't utilize any of the online practice exams (which I should've done because I was a bit rusty in a number of areas, as I am a returning student). My science GPA & the rest of the classes that count are at a 4.0, but my overall GPA is NOT that great! Blame it all on my undergrad GPA when I was young, immature, and had way too much going on!
Well I hope you get in to Moorpark! Waiting for nearly 2 years must be so tough. But God is good and I believe we all have a place somewhere. Best of luck to you and thank you so much for posting some info regarding their program. Do you happen to know where their clinicals are located and if it is only during the week or also on the weekends? During the days only or do they ask for evenings and nights as well? Thanks again and looking forward to hearing back from you! :)
Hi @ballerinka! Well, I called last week and spoke to a staff member who informed me they will begin sending out notifications by this Friday (October 18th) via Certified Mail since they are aware the orientation is set for November 4th. So I would say sometime next week. As for the points, I was trying to figure that out too, but haven't been able to get any info thus far on this forum regarding Moorpark & their points. Sorry I can't be much of help in that respect. But if I hear anything else, I will be sure to post. Please do the same, if you can. :)
Thank you!
Hi again! Clinicals I believe are at Simi, Los Robles, St Johns, Westhills, Children's and maybe I might be missing one or two..... If I heard right they have weekday and maybe a Saturday but not 100% sure! I believe first semester it's a 6 hour shift and further semesters move into 12 hour shifts if I'm not mistaken....
Thank you for your kind words jdc2013, I've been trying to think positive but waiting so long it starts to run low ! Encouraging people are always a plus I thank you! And re points I'm still not even sure how many I have it's not very straigh forward is it?
