mom and pop pharmacies cut out of flu vaccine supply chain?

I have posted about the local pharmacy down the street and how I love dealing with them because they are like family. I have also said how they do flu shots by appointment so it is nice to take my frail 85 year old mom there because there is none of the stress of waiting in lines. Well we had our appointments all set up for next weekend when the pharmacy calls me and tells me they are not getting their allotment of vaccine this year. No it is not arriving late they are just not getting it. I find this disturbing because the large chain pharmacies seem to be having no such problem. I wonder what is going on?
