New phone this Christmas

  1. Well... after years of using a cell phone just as a cell phone with no internet, texting, etc., I have decided it is time to get with the program.

My Verizon is offering several types of Androids and I wonder if anyone has any suggestions. I want to be able to look up nursing information, drugs, etc plus download helpful apps to make life easier.

I just bought an iphone and I'm absolutely pleased with the little phone! I know you are going with verizon but i heard that they are also getting the iphone soon. I just upgraded from a non smart phone to a smart one, so maybe my opinion is swayed by the intelligence. But, I love the phone!!! yes nursing apps do cost money but they are worth it! especially if you are a new nurse and need info relatively fast.

I just got a Samsung Galaxy Tab and I'm in love with it, but it doesn't have the phone function. None of the phone companies allow the phone function on their version of the Tab. Supposedly you can buy a European version that can also be used as a phone. I am starting to look at free apps. I will worry about pay for apps down the road. Oh, and BTW, allnurses works just fine on the Tab!
